Linda Kolar Obituary

Linda Sue Kolar was born August 26, 1946, in Watonga, Oklahoma, to Clyde A. and Mildred Eilleene (Adamson) Ashton. She passed away Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Weatherford Regional Hospital in Weatherford, Oklahoma, at the age of 80.  Linda graduated from Greenfield High School and later attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.  Linda lived in the Watonga and Greenfield area for most of her life. She spent a brief time in California before returning to the Watonga and Geary area. She later lived in El Reno for five years before retiring and moving to Hinton to be closer to her son, Theron.  Linda worked for many years as an oilfield secretary in the oil and gas industry for Mustang Fuel.  She enjoyed quilting and lovingly made quilts for her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family members. Linda was also an avid reader and enjoyed watching movies with Theron. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Linda had an extraordinary ability to remember birthdays. Whether it was a family member, friend, coworker, child, grandchild, or great-grandchild, she rarely let a birthday pass without a phone call, email, card, or personal visit. She was truly a people person who loved taking photographs and preserving memories of the people she cared about.  Linda was deeply faithful to her family and friends. Once she welcomed someone into her life, they became part of her family.  She was a member of Ellison Avenue United Methodist Church in El Reno, where she was very active with her church family and willingly helped wherever she was needed, including preparing and serving meals.

Survivors include her two sons, Theron Scheurer and wife Stacey of Hinton; and Michael Davis and wife Sandy of Corsicana, Texas; grandchildren, Troy Scheurer, Kyla Scheurer, Alexis Scheurer, Shaun Scheurer with wife Ximena, Gage, Whitney Smith with husband Danny, Tori Edmonds with husband Stuart, Linzie Davis, Porsche Sparks and husband Brandon; great-grandchildren Athena, Londyn, Walker, Scottie, Bennett, Emerson, Kyrie, Camden, Brandon, Iris, Kinzliegh, and Harlynn; one sister, Sharon Wilbur and husband Jack of El Reno; one brother, Ronald Ashton and wife Jamie of Lansing, Michigan; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Eilleene Ashton; one son, Larry Dan Davis Jr.; one grandson, "Trey" Theron C. Scheurer III; and one sister, Dianna Alexander.
