Linda Geneva (Gregory) Griffitts

Linda Geneva Abbott Griffitts was born October 22, 1943 in Oney, OK to Floyd and Ella (Davis) Gregory.  She passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, OK at the age of 78.  Linda graduated from Binger High School.  She and Robert Lynn Abbott were married December 15, 1961 and he preceded her in death April 8, 1991.  She cleaned at the Gracemont First Baptist Church for more than 20 years, graded peanuts at Birdsong Peanuts in Ft. Cobb, and later worked at George’s Department Store.  Linda worked and helped with the election board for many years.  She was a member of the Gracemont Young Homemakers Club.  Linda enjoyed reading and writing, shopping, decorating, cooking, and doing her daily bible study.  She was a longtime member of the Gracemont First Baptist Church where she was active in helping with funeral dinners, wedding and baby showers, and helping with refreshments for the kids.    Linda Later married Leon Griffitts October 21, 1995 in Gracemont and he preceded her in death June 4, 2011. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ella Gregory, husbands, Robert Abbott and Leon Griffitts, and siblings, Ralph, Calvin, Carl, Alvin, and Garland Gregory, Betty Findley, Helen Long, and Anita Wilson.

She is survived by her two children, Jeff Abbott and his wife Melissa of Gracemont, Vicki Quigley and her husband Marc of Dibble; grandchildren, Amber Sorenson and husband Caleb of Sayre, Robert Abbott and wife Angela of Oklahoma City, Khye Weathers of Hinton,  Ryleih Weathers of Gracemont, Mason Smith and wife Kallie of Cement, Cole Smith and wife Rylie of Gracemont, and Cassidy Watkins and husband Tanner of Chickasha; great grandchildren, Brekkin Sorenson, Alivia Abbott, Breckley Smith, Mila Abbott, Eva Abbott, Teigan and Tripp Watkins, Iyla Smith and Emri on the way; sisters, Rita Donhost of Bargersville, IN, and Karla Witt and husband Jerry of Chickasha, OK; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
