Leroy Madbull Obituary

Leroy Madbull passed away on July 26, 2023 at the age of 68 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born in Clinton, OK on May 11, 1955 to the late Julia Madbull. A lifetime resident of Geary, he attended Geary Public Schools and Redlands Community College, El Reno, OK.  He retired from Calumet Industries in 2013.  Leroy was a enrolled Cheyenne-Arapaho tribal member and a member of the Geary Indian Baptist Church where he was baptized in 1983 by the Reverend Anne Hoflen.   He loved spending time with family and friends, playing chess, enjoyed journaling, and, being a strong believer in his Baptist faith, he often wrote scriptures from the Bible. In his younger years he was very active physically, working out, lifting weights, and running.


He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Renee Madbull, Geary, OK, Leann Madbull, Oklahoma City, OK, sister, Margaret Sutton, El Reno, OK, Damon Dunbar (cousin) Clinton, OK. Grandchildren, David Madbull, Adam Pratt Madbull, Haylee Whiteplume Paddyaker, Kara, Angelina, Autumn Birdshead, and Melissa Wayne BigMedicine. 


He is preceded in death by his mother Julia Madbull, grandparents, Margaret Blindbull Lincoln and Ernest Madbull, uncle Ralph Lincoln, and cousin Anthony Thunderbull. 


Wake service will be held Sunday, July 30, 2023 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the Geary C & A Community Building.


Funeral services scheduled on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 12:00 pm at the Geary First Baptist Church


Interment Sunset Cemetery, Geary, OK.
