Larry Lee Coble, 83, of Geary, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on August 3, 2026. Larry was born on August 13, 1942, in Geary, Oklahoma, to Arl Lester Coble and Irene Helen (Mize) Coble. He was raised in Geary and graduated from Geary High School before attending Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966 as a Military Policeman and sharpshooter, stationed at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Throughout his working years, he was employed at the reformatory in El Reno, worked at the Geary Locker Plant, and later spent many years as a pipeliner for TransOK. Larry found his greatest joy in the outdoors. Whether he was fishing, trapping, gardening, farming, or raising cattle, he was happiest surrounded by nature. He had a deep appreciation for wildlife. Larry was also a talented artist who created beautiful works in acrylics, oils, and watercolors. Larry loved guitars and enjoyed playing music with his friends and granddaughter at the Senior Citizens in Geary. He had a special love for animals, especially his pet cats. Above all else, Larry cherished his family. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His kindness, generosity, and quiet strength will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Coble of Geary, Oklahoma; his children, Lori Coble of Geary, Oklahoma, and Travis Coble of Geary, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Reyna Ponce of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Kyle Ponce of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Hunter Coble of Hinton, Oklahoma; his sister-in-law, Janice Coble of Watonga, Oklahoma; his nephew, Keven Coble of Watonga, Oklahoma; his cousins, Sheila Hooten Forney of Faye, Oklahoma, and Sharon Morris of Enid, Oklahoma; as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arl Lester and Irene Helen (Mize) Coble, and his brother, Jerry Coble.
No services will be held at this time.
Larry will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
