Kenneth E. Pyatt Obituary
Kenneth Eugene Pyatt was born February 12, 1951 to Eddie Valis Pyatt and Dorothy W. Overby-Pyatt. He passed into the next life on March 31, 2025 at home with a host of family and loved ones at his side. Kenny worked with his dad in the timber mills of Missouri as a young man. He went to Colorado and began working in the oilfield in 1970. He followed the oil boom to Watonga, Ok in 1983 where he raised his family.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father and friend. He loved being surrounded by family, and loved children. He was quick to laugh and an animated storyteller. He valued family and friendship and gave his all for them. He loved tinkering on a project in his shed with his music turned up, or riding his Harley Davidson, Stella- his other true love.
He is preceded in death by both parents and two sisters, Linda Sue Pyatt and Barbara Ann Smith.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Normaleen Pyatt of Watonga, Ok. He is survived by two daughters Peggy Pyatt and Valorie Pyatt of Oklahoma City, Ok and three sons, Stephen and wife Shelly Birdshead of El Reno, Ok, Oscar Birdshead of Elk City, Ok, and Tim Rauh and his life partner Tara Wilson of Ardmore, Ok, and Anthony Thunderbull and Susan Geary who he considered his children, both of Geary, OK. He is further survived by four sisters, Betty Jean and husband Clair Hall of St. George, UT, Deborah Kay and husband Brian Salisbury of Salt Lake City, UT, Carolyn and husband Terry Nash and Melody Lou Elmer all of Salem, MO, 22 grandchildren, and a multitude of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
Memorial Services will be held Sunday. April 13th 2 PM at the ERC building behind Lucky Star Casino in Watonga, OK
Selected services are under the direction of Turner Funeral Home, Geary, OK.
