Kenneth Dye Obituary

Kenneth Dean Dye was born May 9th, 1940, to William Otho Edward and Lula Mae (Folwer) Dye in Red Oak, OK.  He passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Maple Lawn Manor in Hydro, OK at the age of 82.

 

Kenneth graduated from Red Oak High School in 1958.  He then moved to New Mexico to work in a sawmill.  It was there that he met the love of his life, Rosella Ashalintubbi Dye, whom he married June 11, 1960, in Taos, NM.

 

He became a truck driver and dozer operator where he and his family lived in several different states.  While working for Ada Rig Co. as a supervisor, he opened a company yard in Hinton, OK in 1975.

 

In 1984 Kenneth started Anadarko Dozer and Trucking in Hinton, OK.  He then retired in 2006.  Being the workaholic that he was, he began working as a consultant for Duncan Oil before his full retirement in 2011.

 

Kenneth was a member of First Baptist Church, Hinton.  He enjoyed working cattle, driving his tractor, but most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

 

Kenneth is survived by his wife of sixty one years, Rosella, of Hinton, OK; son, James Dye and wife Raeann of El Reno, OK; 2 daughters, Patricia Dye and husband Robert of Hinton, OK; Rosalee Wiedemann and husband Jeff of Hinton, OK; 10 grandchildren, Tonya Watson of Kingfisher, OK; Amanda Doughtery of Oklahoma City, OK; Robby Dye and wife Kelsey of Magnolia, AR; Jared Brooks and wife Taylor of Hinton, OK; Tasha Brooks and husband Matthew of Hinton, OK; Dakota Dye of El Reno, OK; Laken Nickels and husband Trey of Weatherford, OK; Blake Money of Hinton, OK; Jalen Wiedemann and Dasen Wiedemann both of Hinton, OK; 12 great grandchildren; Raylann Nickels, Mercedez VanWey, Trenton Lusk, Madison Griffitts, Kadin McKampson, Kierstyn Brooks, Tayce Brooks, Tadan Brooks, Sawyer Dye, McKinley Brooks, Lincoln Dye, Cooper Dye.  He is also survived by 2 sisters, Doris Bird and Shirley Selph both of Clarksville, AR, a bonus son, Billy Brooks, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.        

 

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Otho and Lula Dye and brother, Charles Dye.
