Jimmy Don “Jim” Davis was born on June 30, 1950, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Haskell L. and Mary “Maxine” (Pierce) Davis. He entered into Glory on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 71. Jim graduated from Choctaw High School in 1968 then attended some college at Oklahoma State University. He served his country in Vietnam with the United States Army 165th Aviation Group. After being discharged, Jim attended the University of Oklahoma. He then became a firefighter for the Oklahoma City Fire Department serving his community for over 25 years and retiring in 1999.
There are not enough words to describe Jim’s love and kindness toward others. He had a very creative mind and was an entrepreneur, inventor, and patent holder. He was a deep well and very passionate about his family and his faith in Jesus Christ. He was a faithful tithing member of the First Baptist Church in Harrah, Oklahoma.
Jim is survived by; his wife of 47 years, Debra “Debby” (Burdick) Davis of their home in Choctaw, Oklahoma, his children; Angelynn Brooke McGowan and husband Sean of Charlotte, North Carolina, Jaimee Dawn Gingrich and husband Gary of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Joshua Bryan Davis and wife Keli of Mustang, Oklahoma, grandchildren; Savannah Bridges and husband Eric of Charlotte, North Carolina, Shelby Adams and husband David of Gilbert, Arizona, Grant Gingrich and girlfriend Cameron of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Evan Davis Gingrich and wife Amber of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Quinn Gingrich and Libby Dawn Gingrich both of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Lainee, Landen and Logan Faith Davis of Mustang, Oklahoma, two Great-Grandchildren on the way, two brothers; Johnny Davis and wife Anita of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Rob Davis and wife Beth of Choctaw, Oklahoma, sister-in-law Connie Davis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by; his parents Haskell and Maxine Davis, and infant sister, Judy Davis, siblings: Mona Sue Duke and Jerry Davis, and nephew; OCFD Major Andy Davis.
Services: Thursday, January 13, 2022, 1:00 PM, at First Baptist Church, 928 N Mustang Rd, Mustang, OK 73064

Burial: Hinton Cemetery under the direction of Hinton Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, OK.
