Jimmie Steve Massey was born August 27, 1941 to Troy H. and F. Claudine Money (Stevens) Massey in Caddo County, OK. He passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Integris Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon, OK at the age of 82. Jimmie Steve graduated from Lookeba High School in 1959. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard in Anadarko. He and Cathey Tarrant were united in marriage on February 10, 1968 in Hinton, OK. He farmed and ranched in Caddo County until 1995, worked at Opitz Inc. as a salesman throughout the late 1990’s, and as a safety consultant for Aduddell Roofing out of Newcastle until retirement. He was a member of Lookeba Gobblers Association, an avid follower of all Lookeba-Sickles Athletics, President of Oklahoma High School Rodeo Association for over a decade, and a member of Lookeba-Sickles School Board for 20 + years. He enjoyed public speaking and announcing all types of sporting events. He very much enjoyed his grandkids and all their activities. Jimmie Steve was a member of Sickles Community Church in Lookeba, OK. The two loves of his life to the end were his wife, Cathey, and the Cowboy Way of Life. .
He was preceded in death by his parents Troy and Money Massey, his brother, Pepper Massey, and son-in-law, Darrel Radacy.
Jimmie Steve is survived by his wife Cathey Massey of the home, Lookeba, OK; three children, Jami Radacy of Lookeba, OK, Tara Barks and husband Brian of Mustang, OK, and Ty Massey and wife Janae of Addington, OK; grandchildren, Noah Barks and fiancé Sarah Graham, Rally Radacy, Presley Barks, and Chazli Massey; sister, Becky Moore and husband Roger of Eakly, OK; as well as numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
