Jimmie Dean Holt was born July 16, 1956, to Arvil Charles and Velta Jay (Davis) Kerr in Denver, Colorado. He passed away Friday, August 27, 2021, at Integris Canadian Valley Hospital, in Yukon, Oklahoma. Jimmie graduated from Hinton High School in 1974. He lived in Bridgeport, moved to Oklahoma City, and started working as a Roughneck in the oil fields in Texas, and later moved back to the Oklahoma City and Yukon area working for Marathon Oil Company as a production foreman for 30 years.
Jimmie enjoyed golfing, dancing, horse racing, doing karaoke and singing. At his niece’s wedding, Jimmie made sure all of his aunts were danced with and twirled around the dance floor. He loved playing cards with his family at family gatherings and was very competitive…he did not like to lose. He had accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior recently and attended the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Hinton, Oklahoma.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his sister Tammy Kerr Smith, his brother Billy Charles Kerr, Grandparents; Hobart and Pearl Davis and Q.E. and Edna Kerr and numerous aunts, uncles, and other family members.
He is survived by his parents Bud and Velta Kerr of Hinton, OK, siblings, Carl Dewayne Holt and wife Betsy of Wichita, Kansas, Cindy Ledford and partner Tom Rawlings of Oklahoma City, special friend Pam Toho and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Services: 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 2, 2021, Pentecostal Holiness Church, Hinton, OK.
Officiating: Rev. Lance Howell.
