Carla Jean (Jeannie) Whitmire was born on December 13, 1958 in Oklahoma City, OK to Carl and Roberta (Wakefield) Carpenter. She passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025 in Yukon, OK at the age of 66. Jeannie attended Hinton Schools, lived in and around Hinton and a short time in Texas. She married Everett Mitchell and later married Bill Whitmire on August 26, 1991 in Ft Worth, TX. The couple lived for a time in Wyoming, Colorado, Hinton, Colorado, and eventually back to Hinton. Jeannie loved being with her children and grandchildren, family get togethers were very special to her. She worked for Glen Randolph for several years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Hinton, OK. Jeannie enjoyed crossword puzzles, Christmas puzzles, OU Football, but especially OU Softball. She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.

Survivors Include: her husband, Bill Whitmire of Hinton, OK, her children, Jamie Trujillo of Trinidad, CO, and Ami Whitmire of Hinton, OK, her grandchildren, Emma Whitmire of Hinton, OK, Kallysta Jordan and husband Trent of Hinton, OK, and Devin Vecellio of Trinidad, CO, her great grandchildren, Saylor Ryan, Charlie Vecellio, and Addi Jordan, her siblings, Robin Brookshire of Hinton, OK, Susan Jaques and husband Tim of Hinton, OK, and Scott Carpenter and wife Debbie of SPI, TX, her nephews, Josh Brookshire and wife Melinda and their children, Jack, Beau, and Emma, Jennifer Hohman and husband Jarrod and their children, Brynnley and Owen, Ashley Langford and husband Matt and their son, Beck, Cass Jaques and wife Allison and their children, Cassidy and Bear, Taylor Ferguson and husband Jimmy and their children, Rhiannon and Oliver, Carlee Carpenter and her daughter, Camilla, Tim Frost and wife Brooke and their children, Addie, Mason, and Bailey, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Roberta Carpenter, her sons, Chad Mitchell and Aaron Mitchell, her brothers in law, Chipper Brookshire and Robbie Whitmire.

Jeannie’s family will have a memorial service for her at the Church of Christ, Monday 10:00 AM, August 4, 2025, Hinton, OK
