Jaynee Thomason

Jaynee Thomason was born December 26, 1962, in Hinton, Oklahoma, to Jerry and Mary (Smith) Thomason. She passed away Friday, October 2, 2026, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 63.

Jaynee grew up on a farm on Bethel Road and attended Hinton Schools all twelve years. Following graduation, she attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU), where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.

Jaynee taught at El Reno Public Schools for thirteen years. Teaching was very rewarding to her, especially since she did not have any children of her own. She enjoyed flowers and spending time outdoors.

Jaynee was blessed throughout her life with a close group of special friends. She is also survived by  her cousin, Sandy; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Mary Thomason; one sister, Karen Von Dollen; and her grandparents, Elmer and Marietta Thomason and Robert and Texana Jewel Smith, her uncle, Bobby Smith.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church, Monday, 1:30 PM, October 5, 2026 in Hinton, Oklahoma, with Rev. Tom Cooksey and Rev. Keith Gillham officiating. Burial will follow in the Hinton Cemetery, Hinton, Oklahoma.
