Jacky Deviney, born January 12, 1958, in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, passed away on January 6, 2025, at her home in Bethany, Oklahoma, at the age of 66.

Jacky graduated from Medicine Lodge High School in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, and later earned her associate degree from Pratt Community College. On August 14, 1976, she married the love of her life, Chuck Deviney, in Medicine Lodge. Together, they built a beautiful life, moving first to Perry, Oklahoma, then to Weatherford, where Jacky earned her bachelor’s degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Eventually, they settled in Bethany, Oklahoma, after living in El Reno.

Jacky served as the Director of Purchasing at CompSource for over 20 years, earning respect and admiration from her colleagues. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Yukon, where her faith played a central role in her life. Jacky enjoyed spending time with her beloved children and grandchildren, reading her Bible, listening to Charles Stanley’s ministry, cooking and, most of all, spending time with the Lord.

Jacky is survived by her husband, Chuck Deviney, of the home in Bethany; her two sons, Brett Deviney and wife Angie of Hinton, Oklahoma, and Brian Deviney of Denver, Colorado; her grandchildren, Ian Deviney and wife Kai, Hannah, Grayden, and Tucker Deviney, all of Hinton, Oklahoma, and Myles Deviney of Denver, Colorado; and her great-grandchild, Oli Paul Deviney, with another great-grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her mother, Joyce Smith of Sedgwick, Kansas; her sister, Amy Wiley of Wellington, Kansas; and many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Jacky was preceded in death by her father, Jack Smith, and her sister, Cynthia Smith.

A celebration of Jacky’s life will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Hinton, Oklahoma, with Reverend Keith Gillham officiating. Jacky’s love, faith, and dedication to her family will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved her.
