JD Stahlman Obituary

JD Stahlman was born December 10, 1931, in Hinton, Oklahoma, and passed away July 17, 2025, in Clinton, Oklahoma, at the age of 93.


He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Kreger of Winston-Salem, NC, and LuAnn O'Hair of Laverne, OK, daughter-in-law Betsy Stahlman of Macomb, OK, son-in-law Mike Zincke of Chelsea, Ok, sister Barbara Brown of Anadarko, OK, and sister-in-law Lu Stahlman of Moore, OK. He is also survived by grandchildren David Kreger (Amanda), John Kreger (Bri), Renee Imler (Minor), JoAnna Stahlman, Jacque Burns (Frank), Kristin Stahlman, Amber Zincke (Billy), Kacie Dooley (Travis), and Noah O'Hair (Sarah), his "bonus" children and grandchildren Brenda Hogan, Steele Waldrop, Mel Seebeck, and Biljana Stankovic in addition to his great-grandchildren Kaitlynn, Riley, Payten, Alan "AJ", Elizabeth, Sadie, Aliza, Korra, Elly, Tristan, Dryce, Ellye, and Lan as well as numerous nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents Archie and Edith (Ringo) Stahlman, wife Margie Stahlman, son Garry Stahlman, daughter Melonie Zincke, son-in-law Nelse O'Hair, siblings James Stahlman, Mary Alice Seals, LeRoy Stahlman, and Velta Mitchell.


JD married Margie (Moser) on Oct. 1, 1955. Over the years, he held numerous jobs, including mailman, mechanic, Senior Master Sergeant, and Civil Engineering Technician. He also was a Mason and volunteered with the Prevention of Blindness. Rumor has it he was in the Army briefly.


Family was his priority. He and his wife attended as many of their children and grandchildren's activities as they could. He and Margie traveled extensively in their lives, always up for an adventure.


Services will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025, 1:00 pm at Turner Funeral Home in Hinton, Oklahoma. Internment will immediately follow at Niles Cemetery.
