Hubert Arlie Stufflebeam

Hubert Arlie Stufflebeam (Hubie) was born on July 22, 1961 in Ventura, California to Harvey and Doris “Winkler” Stufflebeam.  He passed from this life, entering his Heavenly home, on July 31, 2026, in Weatherford, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years and 9 days, after a brief illness.

Hubie was the youngest of six children.  The family moved to Stilwell, Oklahoma in 1966.  Hubie moved to Binger, Oklahoma as a young man.

He married Karey Croy on March 6, 1994.  They lived in Binger for a few years then moved to Weatherford.

Hubie was a skilled mechanic and retired from Cummin’s Auto Group, Weatherford, in January of 2026 after working there since March 3, 1998.

Hubie came from a very musical family and was a very talented guitar player, especially lead guitar.  He was a member of the band “Quick Silver” for many years.  The band traveled around playing at fairs, rodeos and many other venues.

Hubie enjoyed getting together with the family to play music, sing and of course, eat.  The most famous thing on the menu was Hubie’s famous cactus and pork chop burritos… oh so good!

Hubie attended Rock of Restoration Church where he was part of the praise and worship team/band.  Playing for the Lord was such a joy and honor for him.  He was there every Sunday until just recently when his health kept him from it. 

He will be greatly missed by his family, church family, and friends.

Hubie is survived by his wife, Karey of the home; children Craig Stufflebeam of Yukon, Ok; Jared and wife Jessica of Edmond, OK and Nicole Stuffllebeam; sisters Lorene Vaughn of Bakersfield, California, Maxine and husband Roy of Binger, Oklahoma; brother Gilbert and wife Gaylene of Binger, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Juanita Stufflebeam of Gracemont, Oklahoma, Mother-in-Law Maxine McCullough of Weatherford, Oklahoma; brothers-n-law Scott McKinney and wife Candy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Grant McKinney of Palm Desert, California, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by both parents Harvey and Doris Stufflebeam, infant sister Leta Mae Stufflebeam, brother Herbert Stufflebeam, brother-in-law James Vaughn, sister-in-law Debbie Stufflebeam, daughter Brandie Kerns, father-in-law Ford McKinney, both sets of Grandparents along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services for Hubie will be Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Rock of Restoration Church.
