Herb Little was born March 8, 1933 to William Evan Little, Sr. and Dorothy Grainger (Shumate) Little in Torrance, California. He went to be with his Savior on Friday, January 1, 2021 in Yukon, OK at the age of 87. Herb moved as a youngster to Geary, OK with his family. He attended and graduated from Geary Schools. After graduation Herb enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Korea. He worked for Western Electric (AT&T) and also worked in residential construction operating a business in rough cleanup. Herb retired from AT&T after nearly 30 years. He went to work at Sadler Cleaners and soon bought the business. He operated Sadler Cleaners in Guthrie, OK for many years. After his retirement from this career, he moved back to Geary, OK where he met the love of his life, Pearl. Herb was active in the First Christian Church in Geary, OK, where he loved to lead his church family in song. He was active with Geary Senior Citizens and the Geary Chamber of Commerce where he was awarded Citizen of the Year in 2013. Herb loved driving the countryside and hunting for rocks to put in his garden. He restored antique tractors, served as a leader with the Oklahoma Steam and Gas Engine Association, and was a life-long John Deere enthusiast.
Herb is survived by wife Pearl of Geary, OK; daughter, Darcy Wilson and her husband Arlen of Yukon, OK and daughter, Alyssa; daughter, Vicky Lane and her husband Bob of Swisher, IA and daughter, Keeley; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Teetshorn of Stuart, OK and children, Kyle, Justin, James, and Maliche; daughter, Linda Tucker of Geary, OK and children Jared and Angie; son, Randy Trumbley and his wife Kim of Berryville, AR and children Brittney, Jacob, Malissa, and Payton; siblings, Mildred Sanders of Weatherford, OK, Fern Moore of Geary, OK, Cathie Choate of Yukon, OK and Jack Little of Albuquerque, NM, as well as hosts of great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Little, Sr. and Dorothy Little, wife Lois Little, sons Greg Little and Bruce Teetshorn, and siblings, Ruth Blair, Wilma Jean Gardiner, and Bill Little.
