Glenora June Nance was born March 22, 1934 to E.T. and Catherine (Carlisle) Ledford in Alfalfa, OK. She passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at the Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City at the age of 89. Glenora graduated from Hinton High School where she was active in Basketball and attended Central State College in Edmond. Glenora was united in marriage to Harold “Pete” Nance, Jr., December 23, 1950 in Hinton, OK. They moved to Oklahoma City where she worked for the telephone company. Glenora enjoyed sewing, quilting, fishing, playing card games with her family, and was a great mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was a member of the Capitol Hill Assembly of God Church in Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, E.T. and Catherine Ledford, husband Harold Nance, Jr., son, Dennis Nance, grandson, Cody Nance, two brothers, Cletus and Dayne Ledford, and in-laws, Harold and Freda Nance.
She is survived by her daughter, Dianna Lay and husband Raymond of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren, Heather Koch and husband Tom of Mustang, and Brock Lay and wife Heather of Oklahoma City; ten great grandchildren, Ryker, Brecken, Kennedy, Pilot, Rad, Hugo, Jones, Robbie, Wells, and Brooklyn; one great-great grandchild, Greyson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
