Glenn Eugene Propps was born on June 25, 1948 in Anadarko, OK to Jewell Hale and Neva F. (Barger) Propps. Glenn passed away peacefully at his home in his sleep on September 26, 2024 in Sickles, OK at the age of 76. He graduated from Hinton High School in 1966 and attended Cameron and SWOSU to be a coach and history teacher. Jewell got sick and Glenn came back to rejoin the family farm where he continued to farm peanuts and raise cattle for many years. Glenn married Barbara Sipes on May 24, 1976 in Wheeler, Texas. He loved to hunt, there were many trips to Montana, Colorado, and New Mexico, he enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, gardening, playing cards, going to the casino, collecting guns, reading western books, loved his cats, and most of all spending time with his family. Glenn’s dad Jewell served on Caddo Electric Board for 28 years after Jewell’s passing, Glenn filled the position and served as board member and president for 39 years, retiring in 2021. Glenn served as vice president on the Executive Board for State of Oklahoma and later served as president for the OEAC. He also served for the ASCS Office in Anadarko for a number of years. He was a member of Sickles Community Church, and was a Grand Gobbler with the Gobbler’s Association
Survivors Include: his wife, Barbara Propps of the home Lookeba, OK, his daughter, Azurae Kilian and husband Mike of Hinton, OK, his grandchildren, Mitchell, Timber, and Ryann, his sister, Kathy Meade of Calumet, OK, and families, nephews and nieces, Noel Spraggins and wife Sherri of Park City, UT, Toby Williams and wife Kim and their families of OKC,OK, Randy Sipes and wife Kelly and their families of Brookshire, TX, Johnna Sipes of Jersey City, TX, Nancy Oliver and husband John of Central Lake, MI, Debbie Higgins and husband Randy of North Palm Beach, FL, Bill Finn and family of Wichita Falls, TX, Mike Propps and family, Mark Propps and family, and Shana Wright and her family, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell and Neva Propps, his siblings, Virginia Williams, Floretta Hall, Tressa Spraggins, and Wayne Propps.
