Gladys S. (Taylor) Currell

Gladys S. Currell was born on September 19, 1927 in Thomas, OK to Bryan and Bertha (Beard) Taylor. She passed away on September 22, 2020 in Hydro, OK at the age of 93. Gladys graduated from Thomas High School. She worked in various different jobs. She lived in Watonga, Oklahoma City, and Thomas throughout her life. Gladys loved to paint fabric and loved her grandkids and great grandkids. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Thomas, OK where she was active in many aspects of the church, including vacation Bible school, and loved handing out peppermints to the children at church.

Survivors Include: her children, Mary “Janie” Grout of Fairview, TX, Tom Scott of Thomas, OK, Grace Creps of Watonga, OK, Linda Colleen Wickware of Watonga, OK, and James Scott of Chandler, OK, 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryan and Bertha Taylor, her daughters, Rosa Cook and Georgie Murray, her grandson, Scott Cook, her great grandson, Trace Cook, and her siblings, Edna Hale, Belle Bellew, George Taylor, Louis Taylor, and Betty Lamle.
