Garline Ryburn Anthony was born December 30, 1936, in Binger, Oklahoma, to Odis and Velda (Woolworth) Ryburn. She passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026, at River Oaks Nursing Home in El Reno, Oklahoma, at the age of 89. Garline attended Ball Knob and Britton schools and graduated from Binger High School. She was united in marriage to Clyde Carrol Anthony on June 25, 1956. They made their home north of Cogar and lived in the Cogar community their entire married life. Clyde preceded her in death on October 26, 2020. Garline began her career with Western Electric, which later became Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She retired in 1989 after many years of dedicated service. Following retirement, she enjoyed helping Clyde on the farm, opening gates, cutting twine, and caring for their cattle. She was truly his right-hand helper and enjoyed working alongside him. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, visiting with family and friends, and attending church activities. She was a faithful member of Canaan Baptist Church. Survivors include two children, Keith Anthony and wife Gloria of Gracemont, Oklahoma, and Debbie Pack and husband Dean of Albert, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Brandie Leal and husband Chris of Gracemont, Oklahoma, Candice Anthony-Cazenave and husband Brice of Rosemount, Minnesota, Coty Pack and wife Delta of Binger, Oklahoma, and Lacy Myers and husband Daniel of Mustang, Oklahoma; nine great-grandchildren, Justice Leal of White Plains, Kentucky, Adrian Leal and wife Kathleen of Gracemont, Oklahoma, Christian Leal of Gracemont, Oklahoma, Brady Leal of Gracemont, Oklahoma, Ellie and Roman Myers of Mustang, Oklahoma, Levi Myers and wife Jesse of Anadarko, Oklahoma, Josey Myers of Anadarko, Oklahoma, Branson Haddon of Anadarko, Oklahoma; one great-great-grandchild, Jace Myers; one brother, Paul Ryburn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one sister, Reatha Hill of Mustang, Oklahoma; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Odis and Velda Ryburn; her husband, Clyde Anthony; and three brothers, Gerald, Donald, and Lawrence Ryburn.
Viewing will be at the Turner Funeral Home in Binger, Sunday from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. June 14, 2026
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2026, at Canaan Baptist Church in Cogar, Oklahoma, with Rev. Mike Critchfield officiating. Burial will follow in Murray Cemetery, Binger, Oklahoma.
