Frank Richard Strack was born on November 1, 1928 to Leo Martin and Emma Christine (Tillquist) Strack at their home near Hitchcock, Oklahoma. He went to his heavenly home on Saturday, October 30, 2021 just shy of his 93rd birthday. Frank graduated from Hitchcock High School in 1946. On September 4, 1949 he married Lois “Maxine” Pearson at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Watonga, Oklahoma. From this union, they had five children, Janice, Gary, Keith, Donita and Beth.
Frank worked for a produce business purchasing cream, chickens and eggs. Around 1952 he purchased the produce which was named Strack Produce. In December 1957, Frank and Maxine purchased land east of Watonga and built their family home along with two large chicken barns that housed 3000 chickens, taking over his brother Donald’s door to door egg route in Oklahoma City. While delivering eggs, Frank also worked with his wheat and cattle farming operation, worked at the Watonga sale barn as yard and scale man and helped Ray Gerber install yard sprinkler systems. After 37 years of delivering eggs, Frank and Maxine retired from the egg business, receiving many letters of appreciation for the years of dedicated service from their customers.
