Esmeralda M Lopez

Esmeralda M. Lopez was born on April 27, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas to Pedro Hinojosa and Lillie Martinez. She passed away on August 22, 2023 in Okeene, OK at the age of 66. Esmeralda moved to Lookeba-Sickles at a young age and went to Lookeba-Sickles Schools where she met Elpidio Lopez there and they moved to Chickasha, OK, where they were married January 26, 1978 and lived there for over 12 years, and then lived in Mexico for 3 years then Chickasha again. She became a CNA which she continued as a CNA over 20 years. She lived in Lookeba, Eakly, Geary, and Okeene. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, listening to music, spending time outside supervising her kids and grandkids, and gardening. Esmeralda enjoyed caring for everyone else and her family and friends. She never said “No” to anyone and was always willing to help others. She believed in God and had a deep faith and was Catholic.  

Survivors Include: her children, Narciso Lopez and wife Maria of Chickasha, OK, Raymund Lopez of Tuttle, OK, Cristobal Lopez and wife Juanita of OKC, OK Elpidio Lopez, Jr. and wife Imelda of OKC, OK Analilia Lopez of Okeene, OK, and Bobby Joseph Lopez of Longdale, OK; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; her siblings, Robert Hinojosa of TX, Gus Hinojosa and wife Liz of Eakly, OK, Oralia Rodriguez of Lookeba, OK, Eddie Hinojosa of Geary, OK, Gilbert Hinojosa of OKC,OK, Victor Hinojosa of AR, Leticia Rodriguez of Hinton, OK, Roy Hinojosa of El Reno, OK, and Rosalina Hinojosa of Okeene, OK; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Esmeralda was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Lillie Hinojosa; her husband, Elpidio Lopez, her siblings, Hortensia Rodriguez, Mary Rodriguez, and Pete Hinojosa.

Services: Faith Church, Saturday, 9:00 AM, August 26, 2023, Hinton, OK

Burial: Lookeba Cemetery, Lookeba, OK
