Elena Hernandez

Elena Hernandez was born on May 16, 1960 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Gregory and Andrea (Ramos) Hernandez. She passed away on June 9, 2021 at her home in Hinton, OK at the age of 61. Elena attended school in Mexico, she moved to Nebraska in 1979, and moved to Hinton-Lookeba area in 1980. She worked at El Rancho Grande and Hernandez Restaurant in Watonga, and El Charro in Hinton. Elena enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time with her grandkids and family. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hinton, OK.

Survivors include: her children, Lupe Hernandez of Hinton, OK, Diana Hernandez of Hinton, OK, Lisa Hernandez of OKC, OK, and Maria Hernandez and Juan Ramos of South Dakota; her grandchildren, Breanna, Kaden, Emiliano, Tausha, Ashley, and Matthew, her mother, Andrea Hernandez, her siblings, Roberto Hernandez of Hinton, OK, Virginia Leon and husband Lionel of Hinton, OK, and Maria DeJesus of Mexico, numerous nieces, nephews, as well as many other relatives and friends.  

Elena was preceded in death by her father, Gregory Hernandez, and her brother, Valerio Hernandez.

Burial:   Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Hinton, OK 

Dinner at the Parish Hall will be held after burial, everyone is welcome.
