Eddie Ray Williams aka Eddie Red was born on January 2, 1952, in El Reno, OK, to Raymond Williams and Norma Jean (Holt) Vaughan. Eddie passed away on Wednesday September 13, 2023, in Yukon, OK at the age of 71. He attended schools in El Reno and California and then served in the United States Army. He married Florence Faye on March 4, 1971, in Reno, Nevada. They lived in California after they married and then moved back to Oklahoma. Eddie worked in t he oilfields, played in a band, loved karaoke, and owned and operated “Eddie Red Saloon.” He drove for Coca-Cola company and was musician and song writer, melody maker. He worked as a dog catcher for the City of Geary and as DJ for The Coyote Radio. He loved animals, loved kids, and was always for the underdog. He was a protector. Eddie accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was a member of the First Christian Church in Geary. Eddie and Faye shared 52 years together.
Survivors include: his wife, Florence Faye Williams of the home Geary, OK, his children, Debbie Mitchell and husband Greg of Chickasha, OK, Eddie Williams and wife Brandi of Piedmont, OK, Brent Williams and wife Deborah of El Reno, OK, and Chancy Ray and husband Brad of Calumet, OK, his grandchildren, Aaron, Eric, Ryan and Chris Mitchell, Mackenzy Williams, Kacee Reding, Brody Williams, Audrey Garza, Dallas Williams, Bradley, Savana, and Chana Ray, 19 great grandchildren, his siblings, Shelly Birdshead, Kim Hatton, Anna Jenkins, Nancy Langford, Teddy Williams, Ray Williams, Billy Williams, and Howard Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Williams and Norma Vaughan.
