Don Leon King was born February 27, 1951 in Anadarko, OK to Floyd and Lola (Richardson) King. He passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021, in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 70. Don grew up in the Eakly area with his 5 siblings. He graduated from Eakly High School and went on to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. Don’s first job was parts manager at King’s Irrigation. He worked for the 3M/Imation Corporation for many years, and then for Delta Faucets, and retired from Northfork Correctional Facility in Sayre, OK. Don was a dedicated employee and was recognized many times over the years for perfect attendance in his work. After retirement, Don moved to Mustang where he connected with many of his neighbors and made wonderful friendships. Don was an avid fan of OU Athletics, a member of a Corvette Organization, and loved to play golf.
Don is survived by his daughters, Suprina Turner and husband Eric of Clarksville, TN and Shawna Byrd and husband Jason of Hinton, OK, 5 grandchildren, Daniel Turner, Aimee Turner, Zachary Turner, David Turner, and Dayona Byrd, 3 siblings, Lonnie King and wife Sharon of Eakly, OK, Lu Anne Tune and husband John of Norman, OK, and Gary King and wife Lisa of Lookeba, OK as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lola King and 2 brothers, Clifford King and Robert Dwayne King.
