Dennis Franch Bacon

Dennis Bacon was born on August 2, 1959 in Clinton, OK to Elmer and Linda Morton Bacon. He passed away on February 28, 2021 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 61. 

Dennis attended Okmulgee High School, as well as welding school. Afterwards, he enlisted in the US Army and was military police, stationed in Frankfort, Germany; he served for 4 years. Dennis lived in Sand Springs and then Okmulgee, he worked at Amini’s where he sold, installed, and prepared pool tables. In the early 1990’s he was a foreman at Braden Steel. After his accident Dennis was a good stay at home Dad. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, competitive billiards, and playing catch with his son, Shane.

Dennis was a member of Bible Baptist Church, attended Falls Creek, attended First Assembly of God in Sand Springs, Belvin Baptist in Okmulgee, and First Indian Church. Dennis was also a part of building Swapping Back Baptist Church in Geary, OK.

Survivors include: his son, Shane Bacon of Broken Arrow, OK, his siblings, Barbara Bacon Deerinwater of Okmulgee, OK, Debra Bacon Maldonado of Littleton, CO, Brenda Gee of Okmulgee, OK, and Jo Ellen Bacon Lucky of OKC, OK, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Linda Bacon, his siblings, Timothy, Gregory, and Richard Bacon, and his brother-in-law, Joe Lucky.

Services:  Swapping Back Church, Thursday, 1:00 PM, March 4, 2021, Geary, OK

Officiating: Rev. Job Maldonado and Rev. Bryan “Chico” McGertt and Rev. Raymond Johnson

Burial:   Morton Family Cemetery, Geary, OK
