Denittia Overton Obituary

Denittia I. Overton was born on October 6, 1956 in Oklahoma City, OK, to Gilbert and Mildred (Parkserson) Overton.  She passed from this life on Monday, January 11, 2021 at her home in Minco, OK at the age of 64.   Denietta was raised and attended schools in Oklahoma City and the Lookeba areas.  After high school she met and married Coy Brown. The couple made their home in Western Oklahoma.  She later married Ronnie Bennett, Sr. and resided in Oklahoma City.  She worked for Quality Wrap as a machinist and as a supervisor. Denittia got her CDL and drove for a short time and was employed as a guard at the prison in Hinton.   After retiring she moved to Minco, OK.  Denietta was a faithful volunteer at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City.  She loved to drive over to make the preparations and to distribute food to those in need.  She attended the Billy Hooten Memorial United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. 

Denietta is survived by her mother, Mildred Threlkeld of El Reno, OK, children, Cathy Allen and her husband Mike of Geary, OK, Bo Johnson of Geary, OK, Christy Kiplinger and husband D.J. of OKC, OK, and Ronnie Bennett, Jr.  and wife Samantha of OKC, OK, grandchildren, Blade and Darenger Kiplinger of OKC, Montana and Destiny Allen of Geary, OK, Brandon Bennett of OKC, OK, Zachary Lyle of Minco, OK,  and Kaylee Johnson of Geary, OK, 4 great grandchildren, siblings, Richard Threlkeld of Binger, OK and Clayton Dorris of Tuttle, OK and Violet Gomez of Texas, as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.      

 

Denietta was preceded in death by her father, Gilbert Overton, stepdad, Lawrence Threlkeld, sister, Debbie Heffron and life long friend, Coy Brown.

 

Denietta’s family will hold a memorial at a later date.
