Delbert Eugene Bare Obituary
Delbert Bare, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, at the age of 69. He was surrounded by the love of his family in his final moments, just as he had surrounded them with love every day of his life.
Born on July 16, 1956, in Gracemont, Ok. Delbert grew up with a deep appreciation for faith, family, and hard work. He carried these values throughout his life, leaving a legacy that will be remembered by all who knew him. Delbert was known for his love of Jesus and his family, contagious laugh, and his generosity. He never met a stranger, and his kindness left a lasting mark on those who had the pleasure of meeting him.
Delbert was most proud of his family. He was a devoted father and grandfather who taught by example—showing them what it meant to be a follower of Christ, strong, compassionate, and humble. To his grandchildren, he was a hero, mentor, and constant source of encouragement. Whether on movie marathons with popcorn, ice cream and cookies, family gatherings, or cheering from the sidelines for his grandkids, Delbert’s presence was steady and full of love.
Delbert was an over the road truck driver for 34 years and he used his travel across the United States as an opportunity to share his love of Jesus with those he met.
He is survived by Significant other, Mary Callans, mother Gennitta Bare, Children, Courtney and Mike Norman of Lorena, TX, Halli and Keith Holt of Greenwood, AR, Caleb and Holli Bare of Calera, OK, Daniel and Toni Bare of Rock Island, IL, Jordan Bare of Weirton, WV. Grandchildren, Keaton and Brittany Bare, Jesleigh and Caedmon Garner, Peyton Holt, Dawson Holt, Ty Holt, Willam and Leah Warren, Hunter Miller, Taylor Cox, Kayci Bare, Cierra Turner, Madison Bare. Great Grandchildren, Emma Bare, Mason Bare, William Warren, Lily Warren, and Caleb Waren. Siblings, Darlene Wortham, Roger Bare, Vernon Lee Bare, Jr and Melinda, and Tommy Bare.
Proceeded in Death by his father Vernon “Doodle” Bare, mother Earlene Annette Fauver, and his son Mitchell Ryan Bare.
