Darrell Gregg Maddux

Darrell Gregg Maddux was born on October 22, 1962 in Weatherford, OK to Joseph Franklin and Emma Lou (Wells) Maddux. Darrell passed away on May 18, 2023 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 60. He graduated from Lookeba-Sickles High School in 1980. He won the State Farmer’s Award, member of FFA, showed cattle, and played basketball. Darrell attended nursing school in El Reno where he received his RN. He worked with a throat and cancer specialist for the first few years of his career and worked as a surgical nurse for 32 years at Bone & Joint and the Oklahoma Spine Hospital. Darrell enjoyed flying planes, scuba diving, and riding his motorcycles on many trips.

Survivors Include: his mother, Emma Lou Maddux of Lookeba, OK, his aunt Georgia Wells of Binger, OK, cousins, Lisa Bridgeforth and husband Chuck of Wanette, OK, Debbie Wright and husband Larry of Weatherford, OK, Michelle Austin and husband Sherman of Apache, OK, his beloved dog, Honey Belle, and many other cousins, other relatives and friends.

Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Joe Maddux, his brother, Tarrell Maddux, his grandparents, Willie and Mamie Wells, and Alma and Evelyn Kamm, his uncles, Buddy Wells and Gene Wells, his cousins, Ric Wells and Brian Wells.
