Danny Joe Darling was born July 20, 1951, in Manhattan, Kansas, to Ike and Loyce Lawain (Lee) Darling. He passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025, at his home in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, at the age of 74.  Danny graduated from Kingfisher High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force. Throughout his life, he lived in Yukon, Kingfisher, and El Reno, spending the majority of his years in the Kingfisher community. He worked various jobs over the years until becoming a truck driver, trucking for 40 plus years retiring 10-12 years ago.  Danny was known for his strong work ethic and friendly personality.  Danny loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. On weekends, he could often be found getting together with friends to “pick and sing.” He also loved dancing, was an avid golfer, and enjoyed time at the lake. In recent years, he treasured traveling with Linda. Danny was very patriotic and enjoyed sharing stories about his time in the Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Darling of the home in Kingfisher, Oklahoma; children Amy Wood and husband Darrel of Kingfisher, Isaac Schwarz and wife Lisa of Piedmont, John Greenwood and wife Gina of Bristow, Shawn Kennedy of Bristow, and Paula Buckmaster and husband Chad of Weatherford. His grandchildren include Mario Johnson of Sacramento, California; Dustin Grellner and Kaylena of Hennessey, Oklahoma; Paige Grellner of Okarche, Oklahoma; Kaden Kennedy of Hennessey, Oklahoma; Reese Buckmaster of Weatherford; Aubrey Buckmaster of Washington, D.C.; Cain Buckmaster of Hydro, Oklahoma, Bailey Willson of Enid, OK, Brittany Willson of Edmond, OK, Addison Willson of Shawnee, OK, Shelby Willson of Kingfisher, OK, and Tyler Schwarz of Stillwater, OK. Great-grandchildren include Savanna Grellner and Giano and Mario Johnson. He is also survived by one sister, Sherryl Young of Kingfisher, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ike and Loyce Darling, and one brother, Terry Darling.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Hinton Cemetery in Hinton, Oklahoma, with Rev.
