Clifford Eugene Ingram was born November 19, 1923, in Pocasset, OK to Claud and Martie (Garrett) Ingram. He passed away on March 23, 2022, at the age of 98 years old. Cliff was raised in Hinton, OK and graduated from Hinton High School where he participated in sports, excelling in wrestling. He served in the United States Army during World War II. In 1961, Cliff married Alice Pauline Bishop on St. Patrick’s Day and lived happily with Polly for more than 50 years until her death in August 2011. Cliff and Polly moved to Hinton from Midwest City, OK in 1985 and were very active in Hinton’s First Baptist Church and Senior Citizen organization. He was a big fan of Oklahoma State University athletics spending hours and hours listening to OSU games and wrestling matches on the radio.
Cliff is survived by his sons, Gary M. Bishop and his wife Jan of Tulsa, OK, Richard D. Bishop of Edmond, OK; grandchildren, Christopher Brooks Mefford of Tulsa, Brooke Alison Bishop George and her husband Timmy of Edmond, Kaleigh Marie Neil and husband Tyler of Hartford Wisconsin; great grandchildren, Brian George, Boston George, Stetson Tullius, Stella Tullius, Bishop Neil, and other relatives and a host of Hinton friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Martie Ingram, his beloved wife, Polly Ingram, his brother, Richard Ingram, and his grandson, David Todd Bishop and daughter-in-law Julie Bishop.
Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Hinton on March 28th 2022, at 10:30 AM with Rev. Keith Gillham. Cliff will be buried at the Hinton Cemetery entrusted to Turner Funeral Homes, Hinton, OK. The family ask that in lieu of flowers, food or gifts to consider a donation to the Hinton Senior Citizen organization.
