Clella L. (Fee) Lookabaugh Obituary

Clella L. Lookabaugh was born November 13, 1937 at her parents’ home in Watonga, Oklahoma to Melvin and Arla (Crawford) Fee.  She passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the Stroud Regional Medical Center in Stroud, Oklahoma at the age of 86.  Clella graduated from Watonga High School and graduated from Draughn’s School of Business in Oklahoma City.  She was united in marriage to Charles Ray Lookabaugh September 13, 1958 at the Watonga Baptist Church and he preceded her death July 31, 2006 in Greenfield.  They moved to Fort Carson, Colorado during Charles’s military service where their first daughter Terri was born.  They moved back to the Lookabaugh family farm and took over the farming operation.  Clella got pregnant with her second child and nine minutes after the first one was born they were surprised by a second one, twin daughters Tanya and Janna.  She was a homemaker and took care of her family.  After the kids graduated, she went to work at the grocery store in 1981 and continued working until retiring in 2002.  She enjoyed putting up chickens and corn from Charlie’s Garden.  She was a very good cook and began baking bread in 1977 and never bought bread in a store after that.  She was grand champion several times at the Watonga Cheese Festival.  Clella was a member of the Pleasant Valley Extension Homemakers Club for 60 years recently receiving her 60-year pen.   She made homemade cards out of stamps for family and friends.  Clella enjoyed helping with the county fair where she entered pies and cakes, won many awards and served as superintendent for several years.  She enjoyed spending time with the Brunch Group and Elvis Fan Club.  She was a member of the Greenfield Baptist Church. 

 

She is survived by daughter, Terri Walker and her husband Chris, twin daughters, Tanya and Janna Lookabaugh and surrogate daughter, Carla Schneider all of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Lindsay Walker, both of Oklahoma City; grand puppies Bugger and Smidgen; brother Ed Fee of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; three sisters-in-law, Donna Lookabaugh of Dallas, TX, Diane Lookabaugh of Denton, TX, and Mary Jane Walker of Oklahoma City, OK; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Arla Fee, husband, Charles Lookabaugh, sister-in-law, Mary Sue Fee, brothers-in-law and their wives, Frank and Mary Alice Lookabaugh, Harry Lookabaugh, Roy and Louise Lookabaugh, and Albert Lookabaugh.
