Christeen Price Obituary

Christeen Price was born July 4, 1923 in Delhart, OK to David Crockett and Zena (Chisum) Seal.  She passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019, in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 96.  Christeen attended the Hopewell Country School.  She married Bithel Lewis Price on May 26, 1940 in El Reno, OK.  Christeen and Bithel made their home in the Sickles community and welcomed their firstborn son, Quinten.  The family of three soon moved to California where Christeen was a stay at home mother and Bithel worked in the shipyard.  It was during their time in California the twins, Donna and Conna were born.  After Bithel enlisted in the US Army and was deployed, Christeen and the three children moved back to Oklahoma to be close to their families.  After three years of service to his country, Bithel was reunited with his family in Oklahoma after being discharged.  The family moved to the Cogar area, and soon after welcomed Karla to the family.  The now family of 6 moved to Wichita, KS and later to Alamosa, CO where Bithel worked for his cousin at Price Oil Company.  Christeen and Bithel moved back to the farm in Sickles, OK in 1978.  During this time Christeen worked at Lookeba-Sickles Elementary School as a teacher’s aid for 10 years.  After retirement the couple made their home in Hinton.  Christeen loved to work with her hands crocheting, quilting, doing ceramics, and sewing.  She also loved to tend to her flowers.  She loved baking and came home every year with blue ribbons from her entries of hot rolls and banana bread at the Hinton Free Fair.  Christeen was famous for always riding the Ferris Wheel at the Hinton Free Fair every year; everyone always asked her about it and she really loved looking out over God’s creation is what she always said. Christeen loved gifting her baked goods to family members as well.  She will be greatly missed at family gatherings.  Christeen loved the Lord and lived her life for Him. She was a member of the Hinton Church of Christ and loved her fellow Christians to the fullest.
