Chipper Brookshire was born November 8, 1956, in Anadarko, OK to Ray and Ada (Jaques) Brookshire. He passed away Friday, July 21, 2023, in El Reno, OK at the age of 66. As a young child Chipper lived in Anadarko, and when he was 5 years old his family moved to Hinton. He graduated from Hinton High School in 1975 where he was active in football, basketball, and baseball. Chipper worked for Schwan's and Pepsi before going to work for Tri-Service Plumbing where he learned his trade. He owned and operated Brookshire Plumbing for over 30 years before retiring in 2022. He loved fishing and playing pool or pinball with his grandchildren. He supported them at every function and sporting event.
Chipper was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ada Brookshire, grandparents, Clarence and Esther Jaques and siblings, PeeWee Brookshire, Linda Martin, Susan McCathern, and Ione Ferguson.
Survivors include Robin Brookshire of the home in Hinton, OK, 2 children, Josh Brookshire and wife Melinda and Jennifer Hohmann and husband Jarrod, and 5 grandchildren, Brynnley Hohmann, Jack Brookshire, Owen Hohmann, Beau Brookshire, and Emma Brookshire all of Hinton.
Memorial donations may be made in Chipper's name to Lariat Creek Christian Camp, c/o Ray Hull, 36349 Carter Rd, Waynoka OK 73860.
