Cheryl Ann Molsbee was born July 27, 1946, to Harold W. and Freda B. (Dodson) Nance in Hinton, OK. She passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022, at her home in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 76. Cheryl graduated from U. S. Grant High School and continued her studies in a business school. She worked for years at Mustang Fuel and then at Enogex for 30 years. She was also employed at Beams Industries for a short time. Cheryl married John Molsbee on January 22, 1982, in Oklahoma City, OK. The couple loved camping and traveling. They spent most of their winters in Texas. Cheryl and John were the only two to survive two F5 tornadoes and eventually National Geographic did a story on this phenomenon. Cheryl and John were/are members of Modern Wagoner’s Camping Club, and attended the Pentecostal Church.
Cheryl is survived by her husband John Molsbee of OKC, OK, 5 children: Kristy Long and Ben Celis of Edmond, OK, Raemon Kimbrell and Ali of Newcastle, OK. Dale Mauk and Michelle of Yukon, OK, Dane Mauk and Glenda of Bridge Creek, OK, and Christopher Molsbee and Heather of Moore, OK, 11 grandchildren: Dylan Mauk and Taylor of Blanchard, OK, Savannah Adkins of Gunnison, CO, Dakota Mauk of Blanchard, OK, Lane Adkins of Yukon, OK, Dustin Mauk and Jacob Rowe of Moore, OK, Michael Mauk of Bridge Creek, OK, Faith Cook of Edmond, OK, Trenten Cook of Edmond, OK, Piper Celis of Edmond, OK, Raena Kimbrell of Newcastle, OK, and C.J. Molsbee of Edmond, OK, siblings: Lena B. Earles of Hinton, OK and Jerry Nance and Connie of Eufaula, OK, and sister-in-law Glenora Nance of Oklahoma City, OK as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Freda Nance, brothers, Harold “Pete” Nance, Jr., brother-in-law, Kenneth Earles, and nephews, Dennis Nance and Russel Earles.
Viewing will be held Friday, August 12, 2022, 12pm-9pm, the family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Hinton Turner Funeral Home, Hinton, OK
