Charlotte Ann Majors was born on July 25, 1944, in Fairview, Oklahoma, to William and Edith Margaret (Schnell) Rade. She passed away at her home in Hinton, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the age of 81.  Charlotte graduated from Geary High School in 1962 and later attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. On June 7, 1964, she married the love of her life, W. L. Majors, in Geary, Oklahoma. They shared more than 50 years together before his passing on April 25, 2015, in Oklahoma City.  Following their marriage, Charlotte and W. L. lived briefly in the Sickles and Lookeba areas before returning to the Niles community, where they made their home and raised their family. Charlotte taught school at Eakly and Greenfield and later served as librarian for the Town of Hinton. After retiring, she continued serving her community through her work with the Oklahoma Election Board.  Charlotte devoted her life to her family and took great pride in raising her children until they graduated from college and started families of their own. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. Her many interests included reading, painting, writing, cooking, gardening, raising houseplants, church activities, playing Rook, and helping feed those in need. She was a faithful supporter of Vacation Bible School and was a member of First Christian Church of Hinton. She also attended Scott Baptist Church.

Survivors include her four children, Dwight Majors and Lydia of Hinton, Oklahoma; Ann Bell and husband Brandon of Henrietta, Texas; Lyndon Majors and wife Micah of El Reno, Oklahoma; and Nancy Warren and husband Justin of Piedmont, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew Majors of Hinton, Oklahoma; Aaron Majors and wife Dasha of Lookeba, Oklahoma; Kyler Bell of Henrietta, Texas; Harper Majors of El Reno, Oklahoma; and Taylor, Jordyn, and Jase Warren, all of Piedmont, Oklahoma; her sister-in-law, Dorothy McBee and husband Charles of Hinton, Oklahoma; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Edith Margaret Rade; her husband, W. L. Majors; and her siblings, Darlene Leach, Edwin Rade, Mahlon Rade, and Gwendolyn Schilling.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to The Children’s Center Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation, 6800 NW 39th Expressway, Bethany, Oklahoma 73008.

Viewing will be held at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home in Hinton on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Scott Baptist Church in Hinton, Oklahoma, with Rev. Tom Cooksey officiating. Burial will follow at Niles Cemetery near Hinton.
