Charles Dale McMahon Obituary

Charles Dale McMahon, affectionately known by many as “Bubba” or “Charley,” was born on September 14, 1989, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Charles McMahon, Sr. and Dolores Ann (Burnett) Stilwell. He passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, at the age of 36.

Charles grew up in Checotah, Oklahoma, where he attended Checotah Schools. As a young man, he lived a nomadic and adventurous life, working at numerous restaurants and always finding joy in meeting new people along the way. In 2014, he moved to the Binger area, and the following year met the love of his life, Sasha Smith.

Charles was a talented cook who worked at Main Street Café, Red Iguana, and the Dollar Store in Binger. Most recently, he shared his skills and warm spirit at Nowhere, Oklahoma. Throughout his years, he touched many lives—especially the young people he worked alongside—offering advice, encouragement, and kindness. To many, he was an “uncle” figure who always made those around him feel welcome and valued.

Charles had a giving heart and was known for his generosity—he would truly give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He faced life’s challenges with humor, compassion, and an unwavering belief in lifting others up. He never carried hate in his heart and always spoke with honesty and sincerity. He had a special love for his dog, Gotti. Charles was most proud that he had been 7 years sober.  He would encourage everyone to get sober… Cuz life was good.

He is survived by his wife, Sasha Bilyeu of the home in Binger; his children, Eli and Raynee Bilyeu of Binger, Zoey McMahon of Fort Gibson, and Izabella Casinger of Porum; his mother, Dolores Ann and her husband James Stilwell of Checotah; his sisters, Desiree Westbrook and husband Ryan and their children Regan and Reighn, and Alicia Chronister and her daughter Lillie; his grandparents, James and Judith (Judy) Burnett of Checotah; his “other mom,” Dana Smith of Binger; and grandparents Charlene and Jerry Wright of Binger. He is also survived by Nastasha Shook and husband Mickey of Gracemont, and LaTasha Smith of Cherokee, North Carolina, along with her children Raiden and Cairo, as well as many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles McMahon Sr., his father-in-law, Lindsay Smith, and his great-grandmother/”nanny nut”, Jewell Nadine Lawson.

Charles will be remembered for his laughter, his loyalty, and his enormous heart. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love that will continue to live on in all those who were blessed to know him.
