Catherine Marie Williams was born August 12, 1933, in Geary, OK, to Clyde “Snap” and Freda Ruth (Hiney) Smith.  She passed away on May 29, 2025 at St Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK at the age 91.  Catherine attended Geary Schools and graduated in the Class of 1951.  She was an active member in The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls as a teenager.  She married Don Lee Williams on March 11, 1955 at the First United Methodist Church in Geary, OK.   She and Don made their home in Geary for most of their lives.  She took pride in her homemaking and always saw that her family and their farm hands were well fed.  She was famous for her delicious cherry pie.  After her children left home she enjoyed doing ceramics and learning to paint with some of her dearest friends.  Catherine and Don discovered a deep passion for square dancing and were members of many clubs. They started the Bison Twirlers in Geary and helped start the Roman Nose Whirlers in Watonga.  They, along with their good friends, Robert and Kathleen Leck, would travel around the area attending different dances well into their 80’s.  The couple were members of the First United Methodist Church in Geary, OK. 

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Snap and Freda Smith, her husband, Don Williams, 2 siblings, Austin Smith and Barbara Hays, and great-grandson, Hudson Hayes.

Survivors include, 3 children, Darrel Williams and wife Joyce of Fritch, TX, Duane Williams and wife Candy of Cookson, OK, and Lynda Morgan and husband Johnny of Pryor, OK, 6 grandchildren, Stacy Barrett and husband Antonio of Edmond, OK, Laura Hayes and husband Ryan of Woodward, OK, Darren Williams and wife Kimri of Edmond, OK, Amber Lawler and husband Travis of Bushland, TX, Dawson Williams and wife Misty of Fritch, TX and Logan Williams and wife Cassidy of Colorado Springs, CO, and a whole host of great-grandchildren.
