Carolyn Sue (Lynn) Wiles Obituary

Carolyn Sue (Lynn) Wiles was born on July 21, 1948, in Hinton, Oklahoma, to J.B. and Betty (Nance) Lynn. She passed away on January 9, 2026, in Binger, Oklahoma, at the age of 77. Carolyn grew up in Binger, Oklahoma, where she spent her entire life and built deep roots within the community she loved. On December 31, 1963, she married David Rufus Wiles in Binger. Throughout her life, Carolyn was known for her strong work ethic and willingness to do whatever was needed. She worked in many professions, including working in construction doing wallpapering, owning and operating Mary’s Bar in downtown Binger, and running her own housecleaning business. Carolyn was a kind, giving, and incredibly tough woman. She never complained and always put others before herself. One story that perfectly reflects her character is when she fell and broke her hip while her grandson was hospitalized. She told no one about her injury until her grandson was well, and she even completed her rehabilitation at home on her own. She dearly loved her family, especially her son David, and she had a special place in her heart for children. She enjoyed playing with them, and they adored her in return. One cherished family story recalls Carolyn cutting down a Christmas tree from someone else’s property, leaving the children laughing about their “stolen” Christmas tree. Carolyn loved gardening and was an excellent gardener. She enjoyed planting flowers and growing vegetables, especially cantaloupe, watermelon, and okra. She was a faithful member of the Church of God in Binger, Oklahoma. One of Carolyn’s most admirable qualities was her compassion for those in need. If she saw someone hungry—especially a child—she made sure they were fed. Her generosity and love for others left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. Carolyn will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, David Wiles and wife Mashell of Gracemont, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Ashley, Wyatt, Weston, Harley, Jaxxon, Rowdy, Shawna, and Skylar; fourteen great-grandchildren; her sister, Linda Lee and husband Russel of Binger, Oklahoma; her brother, Jesse Lynn of Binger, Oklahoma; her sister-in-law, Ellie Lynn of Binger, Oklahoma; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.B. and Betty Lynn; her husband, David Wiles; and her brother, Billy Lynn.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Binger New Vision Church of God in Binger, Oklahoma, with Reverend Kevin Bartley officiating. Burial will follow at Murray Cemetery in Binger, Oklahoma.
