On Friday, February 2, 2024 Carolyn Yvonne Snider became absent from her body to be present with her Lord and Savior. She was born on September 25, 1936 in Lookeba, OK to William Clyde and Elizabeth (Heffron) Smith. Carolyn graduated from Hydro High School in 1955. She married James Carl Snider, Jr on March 9, 1956 in Berkley, CA. Over the years, Carolyn has lived in Weatherford, OK, Bartlesville, OK, St. Louis, MO, Berkley, CA, and Hydro, OK. Carolyn began her career at the Hydro School cafeteria; she then moved on to become a certified dietary manager and worked as a nursing home dietary supervisor in Hydro, OK, Clinton, OK, Nowata, OK, and in Bartlesville, OK. She was active in the Oklahoma Dietary Association serving as an officer. While raising her family, she was involved as a Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Leader, taught Sunday School, and was active in Women’s Missionary Union and the Girls Auxiliary. After raising her children, Carolyn continued to serve in church, teaching Vacation Bible School and women’s Sunday School for many years.
Survivors Include: her children, Glen Snider and wife Suzanne of Syracuse, NY, Debbie Miller and husband Doug of Bartlesville, OK, Dana Brown of Bartlesville, OK, Tim Snider and wife Robin of Weatherford, OK, and Greg Snider and wife Susie of Norman, OK, her grandchildren, Joshua Snider, Dacia Adams and husband Bob, Memory Curry and husband Ty, Douglas Miller and wife Amelia, Heather Lutke and husband Chris, Brandon Brown and wife Shavauna, Justin Snider and wife McKenzi, Daniel Miller and wife Anna, Dannielle Niewald and husband Harry, Eric Haycook and wife Lis, Bradley Oisten and wife Mandy, and Dan Miller, 25 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, William and Elizabeth Smith, her husband, James Snider, her son, Dennis Edwin Snider, her son-in-law, Ronnie Brown, and her sisters, Ethel Magar, Elsie Chisum, and Joyce Hooper.
The family would like to thank the Bartlesville Health and Rehab and The Journey Home Hospice Center for all the love and care that they provided for Carolyn.

Viewing will be at the Turner Funeral Home in Hinton from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm daily starting Monday, with viewing for family and friends being planned for Thursday Feb 8, 2024, 6:30-8:30 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Weatherford, OK.
