Carolyn Fay Baker was born on August 31, 1946 in Hinton, OK to James Winifred (J.W.) and Audrey Faye (Reagan) Ellis. Carolyn passed away on June 23, 2024 in Binger, OK at the age of 77. She married Bill Baker and they raised their family in the Hinton-Bridgeport area where Carolyn had lived all of her life. Carolyn worked as a cook over the years in restaurants and for the nursing home. She also liked to cook at home for her family and friends. She loved working in her garden and growing flowers and feeding the hummingbirds. She took good care of Bill until she no longer could, that always meant a lot to Carolyn to take care of the family whether it was Bill, her children, or her grandchildren. She will be missed by all those who loved her.
Survivors Include: her children, Dale Baker of Hinton, OK, Jay Baker and wife Michelle of Hinton, OK, and Tommy Baker and wife Dianna of Tulsa, OK, her grandchildren, Marissa Baker, Megan Baker, Matthew Baker, Ashley Baker, Austin Baker, Aaron Baker, Andrew Baker, Tommy Baker, Jr., Chelsea Baker, Jordan Baker, and Dalton Baker, numerous great grandchildren, her sister, Linda McLemore of Hinton, OK, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Faye Ellis, her husband, Bill Baker, her siblings, Paul, Steve, and Allen Ellis, her half brother, James Carl, and her daughters, Tina Unruh and Vickie Baker.
