Carole Etta Kessler was born on January 13, 1952, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, to Arthur Charles and Florence Minnie (Jaques) Kessler. She passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at her home in Hinton, Oklahoma, at the age of 74.  Carole graduated from John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City. Following high school, she remained in Oklahoma City where she worked as a nurse’s aide at Deaconess Hospital and later in a nursing home. In the 1980s, she moved to Hinton, Oklahoma, where she drove to Chickasha to work for the telephone company. Over the years, Carole was also employed at the Cherokee Trading Post and Market Square Grocery Store.  Carole enjoyed crocheting—creating countless items from yarn—playing games with her son Terry, and watching movies. Her faith was important to her; she was saved and baptized at Britton Christian Church in Oklahoma City and later attended the First Christian Church in Hinton.

She is survived by two children, Terry Kessler of Hinton and Carlene Kessler of Norman; one sister, Christene Kessler of Hinton; nephews, Floy Kessler and his wife Tiffany of Weatherford, and Lance Kessler of Hinton; and great-nieces, Reese, Reagan, and Rylan.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Florence Minnie Kessler, and one sister, D’Artha Belle Kessler.

A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church, Wednesday, 1:00 PM, February 11, 2026, Hinton, OK
