Billy Joe Lynn was born on January 22, 1955, in Binger, Oklahoma to J.B. and Betty Jo Lynn.  He was the youngest of four children.  God called him home to heaven unexpectedly on Friday, October 15, 2021.  In February of 1974 he married Eliud “Ellie” Lynn, the absolute love of his life.  Bill attended school in Binger.  As a young man he was a member of the original Church of God in Binger.  Bill enjoyed being on his farm, raising a garden each summer, tending his chickens, hunting morel mushrooms, deer & turkey hunting, raising cattle with his only son and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.  He and his son, Bobby, spent many hours together working a on their farms and enjoying each other’s company.  They were the best of friends.  Bill and Ellie were rarely ever apart. They took care of each other. They spent time together enjoying the simple things in life such as tending their chickens, their garden, their farm & simply spending time together. Bill worked in several industries including the oil drilling business as a roughneck then a driller, at the Opitz Gin & for Gunner Peanut until he went to work alongside his son at Spencer Enterprises, Inc. from 1999 until his retirement in 2012.  Bill was a hard working devoted loving husband, dad, and PawPaw. 

 

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Betty Lynn, and his grandparents, Jess and Bertie Lynn.

 

 

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ellie Lynn; a son, Bobby Lynn of Lookeba and his wife, Brandi. A daughter, Claudia Nunez Kinnett of Georgia. And seven grand children, Cassidy, Cadance, Cayden, Michael, Haley, Courtney and Morgan; his brother Jesse Lynn of Binger; and two sisters Carolyn Wiles of Binger and Linda Lee and brother-in-law, Russell Lee of Binger, and several nieces and nephews. He will be missed deeply by his family members including Ellie’s brothers and sisters and his mother-in-law Maria Valdez of Binger. 

 

Lunch will be served at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Binger prior to the funeral. Family and friends are encouraged to attend & bring a dish of their choice. 

 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, 2:00 pm, October 22, 2021 at New Vision Church of God in Binger, OK. with Rev. Mark Price and Rev. Kevin Bartley officiating, graveside services will be at Murray Cemetery in Binger, OK. services entrusted to Turner Funeral Home, Binger, Oklahoma.
