Billie Thomas Choate was born March 7, 1936, in Dustin, OK to Thomas A. and Ollie Leona (Dixon) Choate. He passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at his home near Geary, OK. The family moved to Canadian County in 1943. Bill attended Enterprise Country School in Canadian County before going to work on the farm with his family. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served his country. He was married to Pearly Dixon on February 1, 1960, in Dallas, TX. Bill worked for Raymond Schweitzer, and later for the Railroad in El Reno and then he worked in the oil field for a time. Before retiring, he went to work in the Cleveland, OK, area in a rock crushing operation. After his retirement from that position, Bill and Pearly moved back to Canadian County where he helped his son-in-law, Tony on the farm. Bill loved taking care of his yard, growing a garden, and tending to his fruit trees. Bill lived life to the full for many years, after Pearly's death in November of 2007, he had a conversion experience and was forever changed. Bill has lived devoted to The Lord since. He attended Coleman Chapel near Calumet.
Bill is survived by one daughter, Yvonda Moore and husband Tony of Geary, OK, 3 siblings, Sylvia Stubblefield, of Houston, TX, Dean Choate of Eufaula, OK and Freeman Choate of Geary, OK,
6 grandchildren, daughter-in-law Beverly Pointer, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ollie Choate, wife, Pearly Choate, son, Larry Pointer and 9 siblings, Haskell, Charles, Leon, John, Howard, and Wayne Choate, Emma Phillips, Mildred Hussman and Viola Russell.

Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022, Coleman Chapel Church, Calumet, OK
