Bill Baker Obituary

Bill Dale Baker was born on July 27, 1940  in Welty, OK to Otis Calvin and Lizziebell (Simmons) Baker. He passed away on July 28, 2023 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 83. Bill left school to work on the farm, and later served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He married Carolyn Fay Ellis and they lived in the Hinton-Bridgeport area all of his life. Bill worked as a cotton ginner and his passion was riding horses. He was a member of the El Reno Riding Club.

Survivors Include: his wife Carolyn Baker of the home Hinton, OK, his children, Dale Baker of Hinton, OK Jay Baker and wife Michelle of Hinton, OK, and Tommy Baker of El Reno, OK, his grandchildren, Marissa Baker, Megan Baker, Matthew Baker, Ashley Baker, Austin Baker, Aaron Baker, Andrew Baker, Tommy Baker, Jr., Chelsea Baker, and Jordan Baker, his siblings, Charlene Gear of CA, Geneva Howard of OK, and Marshall Baker and wife Karen of El Reno, OK, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Lizziebell Baker, his daughters, Tina Unruh, and Vicki Baker, his siblings, Louise Barnett, Melvin Baker, Annie Shackelford, Wanda Molder, Andrew Baker, Juanita Baker, and Juanima Baker.

Graveside Services: Hinton Cemetery, Tuesday, 10:00 AM, August 1, 2023, Hinton, OK  

Officiating: Rev. Tom Clifton
