Betty Howe Obituary

Betty Dialthia Howe was born on March 4, 1930 in Mansfield, TX to Wylie and Mary “Mollie” (Ford) Uselton. Betty passed away on November 28, 2021 in Gracemont, OK at the age of 91. She attended Britton Country School near Mansfield, TX. She married James Raines in 1948 and they moved to the Binger area in April of 1959 to be closer to family. She married Frank Howe on March 27, 1972 in Wichita Falls, TX. She worked at Sequoia and at HollyTex Mill. She and Frank retired from the mill and started sitting at wellsites. After Frank’s passing, Betty worked at the Mill’s Café and later at the Binger Senior Citizens Center. She had worked at sacking peanuts, cantaloupes, made fishing lures, loved quilting, canned her produce, and always had an immaculate garden. She always gave good advice, always had animals, and was the heart and soul of her family. She loved her family unconditionally and was stubborn until the very end.

 

Survivors Include: her children, Walter Raines and wife Donna of Rattan, OK, Sam Raines and wife Rose of Sulphur Springs, TX, Andy Raines and wife Vicki of Ft. Cobb, OK, Gloria Anthony and husband Keith of Gracemont, OK, and Curtis Raines and wife Lola of Binger, OK, her grandchildren, Cheryl Brown and husband Bill of Elk City, OK, Patricia Jones and husband Jeremy of Binger, OK, Martin Raines and wife Sheila of Rattan, OK, Jason Raines and wife Devin of Antlers, OK, Rocky Raines of Rattan, OK, David Raines and wife Shayna of Rattan, OK, Cody Raines and wife Tiffany of OKC, OK, Anthony Raines of Binger, OK, Robert Raines of Binger, OK, Ruby Raines of OKC,OK, Brandie Leal and husband Chris of Gracemont, OK, Candice Cazenave and husband Brice of MN, David Jones and wife Joanna of Hinton, OK, Billy Eugene Jones of Binger, OK, Billy Smallwood and brother Harley Smallwood of Colorado, 20 great grandchildren, 42 great great grandchildren, and 2 on the way,  as well as many, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

 

 Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Wylie and Mary Uselton, her husband Frank Howe, her daughter, Paulette Snider, her siblings, Charlie Uselton, Thomas Uselton, Jack Uselton, Rosie Wilson, Lennie Taylor, and Cleo Uselton.

 

Betty’s family requests that service attendees wear purple, Betty’s favorite color.

Services: The Longview Church, Thursday, 11:00 AM, December 2, 2021. Binger, OK

Officiating: Rev. Todd Pack and Rev. Bobby Broyles

Burial:  Murray Cemetery, Binger, OK
