Arthur Dwayne Wilson was born on December 17, 1950 in Chickasha, OK to A.D. and Viola Violet (Beach) Wilson. Dwayne grew up in Chickasha, OK. He married Cynthia Barton in 1975 in Houston, TX. They raised three children together. Dwayne served in the US NAVY during the Vietnam War. After the war he had a successful boxing run with the Navy. Dwayne worked in the Oilfield throughout his 35-year career. He worked for Anson Oil Co.in Weatherford, and for Helmerich & Payne Inc. in their overseas division. His work led him all over the world; Africa, Argentina, Columbia, Ecuador, and many other places, luckily, Dwayne did love to travel. He also liked to fish, restore old cars, tilling his garden, working in the greenhouse, riding his motorcycle in younger days, loved his dogs, going hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He could fix just about anything and loved to practice his mechanic skills with all sorts of things. He enjoyed hosting poker games. He loved his family and enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dwayne attended Bridgeport Methodist Church in Hinton, OK. He will be missed by all his friends and his family that loved him so very much.
Survivors Include: his wife, Cynthia Wilson of the home, his children, Jason Kyle Wilson (Carrie) of Hinton, OK, Tracy Sue Murray (Kevin) of Turpin, OK, and Allen Dee Wilson (Sierra) of Hinton, OK, his grandchildren, Kaleb Murray (Erica), Karly Murray, Austin Wilson, Addison Wilson, and Ashlyn Dee Wilson, his great grandchildren, Kannon Wade Murray, and Kysen George Murray, and a great granddaughter on the way, his brother, Michael Wilson and wife Tammy of Chickasha, OK, and his sister, Patty Figura and husband Jerry of Moore, OK, his son-in-law, R.G. Murray of Hinton, Ok, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents, A.D. and Viola Wilson, his brother, William Lee Wilson, and infant son, Patrick Wayne Wilson.
A celebration of life will be held for Dwayne at a later date.
