Arthur Allen Owings

Arthur Allen Owings was born on March 16, 1933 in Geary, OK to Henry Ensley and Mildred Winifred (Coats) Owings. He passed away on November 26, 2020 in Weatherford, OK at the age of 87. Arthur played football in high school.  He graduated from Geary High School in 1951. He married Marilyn Phillips on August 18, 1954 in Pampa, TX. He served in the US Army during the Korean War.  Arthur Allen was trained as a tank commander. Arthur went to bootcamp in El Paso, TX and was stationed Ft. Knoxx, KY.  Upon being discharged he and Marilyn moved back to Geary, OK.  Arthur Allen began his wheat and alfalfa farming and cattle operation soon after. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Geary, OK.

Survivors Include: his children, Jiri Lusk and husband Kenny of Hinton, OK, and Phillip Owings and wife Tiffany of Geary, OK, 9 grandchildren, Rob Seyler, Taylor Brooks and husband Jared, Erik Winegeart and wife Jessica, Tyler Winegeart and wife Gabby, , Gage, Logan, Baylor, Brady, and Hudson Owings, his great grandchildren, Trenton, Tayce, Cabreigh, Michelle, Madison, Kierstyn, Lila, Emma, Asa, and Alex, his best friend and companion, Oreo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mildred Owings, wife, Marilyn Owings, daughter and son in law, Shari and Bobby Opitz, and grandson, Micah Seyler.
