Alvin V. Sontag

Alvin V. Sontag was born on August 16, 1941 to E.A. and Delpha L. (Stafford) Sontag in Cedardale, OK. He passed away on November 13, 2020 at his home in Geary, OK at the age of 79. Alvin was raised in Woodward, and Longdale, Oklahoma, where he attended School. He went to school until the 9th grade when he quit to go to work in the oilfield. On November 21, 1962, he and Sharon were married in Woodward, OK. In 1970, they moved to Blaine County and lived in Watonga until moving Northwest of Geary in 1980. He enjoyed raising pigeons and banty chickens.  

Survivors Include: his wife, Sharon Sontag of the home in Geary, OK, his children, Kathy Benson and her husband, the late Joe Benson, of McAlester, OK, Tony Sontag and Wife Valarie of Ofallon, IL, Alan Sontag and wife Tammy of Elk City, OK, Kevin Sontag of Enid, OK, and Chris Sontag and wife Danielle of Geary, OK, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, his brother, Eldon Sontag, and his sister, Annis Sullivan of Ringwood, OK, 2 uncles, 4 aunts, several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Delpha Sontag.
