Alice Ann Crothers

Alice Ann Crothers was born February 8, 1935, in Gettysburg, SD to James Robert and Iva Emily (Hockesson) Beach.  She passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022 at her home in Geary, OK at the age of 87.  She grew up in Gettysburg and graduated from the local high school.  She married John Wesley Crothers in Gettysburg on July 18, 1958.  That same year, they moved to Geary, OK and began their family.  Alice worked as a secretary for Ron Threadgill at Hollytex for 28 years.  She was a member of the First Christian Church in Geary and enjoyed playing cards and crocheting.

Alice is survived by her children, Jeanne Peck, Burney Crothers, and Alicia Hicks & husband Tony; six grandchildren, Robert John Wanzer, John Wesley Crothers III, Allison Hope Crothers, Kimber Dawn Brown, Tanner Ryan Crothers, Kortney Alicia-Ann Peck, seven great grandchildren, Kenleigh and Lane  Brown, Harper Butler, Aiden and Jase Crothers, Koltin and Kady Crothers; sister-in-law, Jean Grant; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.      

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Emily Beach, her beloved husband, John, her sister, Leona Ritter, grandson, Colby Crothers, and brother, Robert Otto.

Services:  First Christian Church Friday, 2:00 pm, April 1, 2022, Geary, OK.

Officiating: Rev. Richard Cox
