Albert Oscar Erickson

Albert Oscar Erickson was born on April 8, 1943 in Hinton, OK to Carl and Dora (Martin) Erickson. Albert passed away on April 25, 2024 at his home in Moore, OK, surrounded by his family, at the age of 81. He was a graduate of Hinton High School, attended OU and then graduated from SouthWestern Oklahoma University in Weatherford, OK with a bachelor’s degree. After graduation, he joined the US Navy and served aboard the USS Storm Country during Vietnam. He was awarded the Silver Star. After discharge from the Navy, he went to work for Mid-Continent Oil Company and lived in Canadian, TX. He met his wife, Becky, during this time. They were married on October 18, 1975 in Pampa, TX and were married for 47 years. Over the years, Albert worked for J.B. Hunt, Mid-Continent, Rick Montgomery Carpet Company, and OneOk Drilling Company as a trouble shooter.  Albert loved crossword puzzles, sudoku, trivia games, fishing, camping, gardening, and was an avid OU football fan. He enjoyed cooking out and making BBQ for the family. Albert loved his family very much and he will be missed by all those who loved him.

Survivors Include: his wife, Becky Erickson of Moore, OK, his son, Jason Erickson of OKC, OK, his daughters, Laura Erickson of Norman, OK, and Kathryn Erickson Battles and husband Scott of Moore, OK, his two granddaughters, Ella and Lilli Battles, his sister, Geneva Erickson Bledsoe of Arlington, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Dora Erickson, his siblings, Maudie Wyvonne Erickson, Juanita Dunn, Bobby L. Erickson, Delores Winters, and Billy Wayne Erickson

Services: Saint Andrews Catholic Church, Thursday, 11:00 AM, May 2, 2024, Moore, OK

Officiating: Rev. Francis Nguyen
